Stella Petropoulou - Greek Artist
Biography
Mrs. Stella Petropoulou Was born in Thessaloniki in 1951.
Since she was very young she showed an inclination to The Art. So
her father sent
her to the college of Art to get the first courses. It was then
when her talent appeared in painting and Sculpture.
In the age of 17 she had her first exhibition. Since then she has
participated in a lot of exhibitions In Greece and abroad. A lot
of her artifacts are found in a lot of places in the
USA, Australia, Canada and Europe. Since 1990 she has retired in
Santorini and through her work she is trying to keep alive all those
superb in architecture old buildings, that day by day are getting
destroyed by the modern ideas of evolution.
She uses only authentic local materials for
her work such as old wood, volcano stones and lava. It is a work
done with a lot of love and care. At the moment Mrs. Petropoulou
